Client: Director-level marketing and communications professional looking to move to another position within her organization that will better tap into her strengths and skills, which she feels she’s strayed from in her current role.

My Position: Principal, Wordschmidt Consulting


My client in this case had been a communications and marketing professional her entire career, moving up the ladder within a geographical region and working twice for the same state university. She wished to continue working for the university, but in a different location and a different capacity. She felt the job she was in had strayed pretty far from her core strengths and she was interested in getting back to work she loved in a more central location with more colleagues.

Approach

I employed a typical discovery process with this client. She completed a mini DiSC assessment designed specifically for resumes and cover letters, a short intake questionnaire, and a lengthy discovery interview. This process follows an initial 30-minute complimentary consultation during which I listen to the client’s needs, answer initial questions, and determine whether we will be a good working fit.

  • Contemporary design

  • ATS readable. My resumes will make sense to a computerized reader as well as a human reader.
